Opening a New Account

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means for you:

When you open an account, you will need:

  • Your name, address, date of birth, and other identifying information
  • A valid photo ID, such as a driver's license
  • Your mobile phone for contact and ID verification purposes
  • Money to fund your new account (up to $500 can be funded via debit or credit card)
  • Unfrozen credit and lifted credit freezes with Equifax. You can manage freezes at equifax.com/personal/credit-report-services/credit-freeze

This process helps ensure the security and integrity of our financial system.
